Winter Quarter Sunday Morning
Bible Classes & Studies—Beginning December 13
The following study/learning opportunities occur on Sunday mornings, 9:30-10:30 a.m., in the designated locations.
Room 228/Conference Room (Adults):
How do some marriages keep getting stronger, regardless of the circumstance? It’s the power of “WE”! It’s being “one flesh” in attitude and action. This uplifting study offers couples of all ages and anniversaries a scriptural understanding of “WE” and practical, day-to-day wisdom to protect the marriage relationship and keep it alive and growing.
Leader: Pr. Eric Skovgaard
Church Nave (Adults):
“Comparative Analysis of Islam and Christianity.”
What causes radical adherents of Islam to kill others? What does Islam actually teach? How does it differ from the Christian faith? These questions and many others will be tackled in this special study that will make use of video presentations by Dr. Alvin Schmidt, author of The Great Divide: The Failure of Islam and the Triumph of the West and How Christianity Changed the World.
Leader: Pr. Larry Myers
Youth Center:
High school youth will explore a number of topical studies from the new “Pulse” series produced by Concordia Publishing House. Each “Pulse” study links a complete Bible study with a current song, video, movie, or other media. Because young people have many questions about life and how God fits into it, each lesson will explore some of the questions young people are asking. Students will reflect on how God reveals Himself and how He provides the answers to our questions in His Word.
Leader: Karen Clark
