...it is vitally important that everyone understand the implications for faithful stewardship.
In order to accomplish this goal, each EGL-member school family is required to attend one of two stewardship briefings scheduled between the worship services on Sunday, Aug. 10, and Sunday, Aug. 17. Each briefing begins promptly at 9:15 a.m. and ends promptly at 10:00 a.m. Again, the requirement is that each EGL-member school family attend one of these two briefings.
Each briefing will include the following topics, among others:
1. How the ‘no school tuition’ approach operates;
2. The cost of education at EGLS;
3. The advantages of contributing to the general offering rather than paying tuition;
4. Expectations of EGL-member school family involvement in the life of the school;
5. Expectations of EGL-member school family involvement in the life of the congregation;
6. Volunteer opportunities in both school and congregation;
7. Biblical principles of stewardship.
Although all EGL-member school families are required to attend one of the two briefings, every member of the congregation is also encouraged to attend. Such attendance will be both informational and motivational. In order for the ‘no tuition’ approach to work successfully, the faithful stewardship of every EGL member is necessary.
Do remember the dates (Sunday, Aug. 10, or Sunday, Aug. 17—both at 9:15 a.m. in the church nave). Make a commitment now to participate in one of the two briefings.
