The Hot Lunch program this year will be provided by Aldo’s Catering that provides lunch for Zion Lutheran School, Bethlehem Lutheran School and a number of daycares. The lunch cost will be $2.75 including milk or $2.40 if you don’t order milk. Aldo’s is certified by the state and follows the state nutritional guidelines. There will several changes with this new program.

1. Parents will need to pre-order and pre-pay for the month. A calendar will go home around the 10th of each month accompanied by an order form that will be due back by the 23rd. Students that do not return the order form will not be able to have hot lunch for that month. This was a standard practice with all of the catering companies.

2. There will only be one entrée offered not two like last year. Students may order a second entrée on their pre-order form but not on the day of hot lunch. The cost of a second entrée is $1.00.

3. We have condensed the lunch schedule so that we will only be serving from 11:45 to 12:15 to help reduce the time that volunteers would have to be available. The first group comes in at 11:45 and the last group comes in at 12:10. It is essential to make this program work that we have volunteers that can come on a consistent basis.
