Did You Know!

• Student Picture Day is Monday, September 15. Packets went home Friday the 12^th.
• You can check your child’s grades anytime at http://fastdir.com/egls/. If you have not registered on Fast Direct to access this information I would encourage you to do so.
• The October hot lunch schedule went out Friday, September 12 and will be due back by Friday, September 19. We encourage you to complete the pre-order form and then make a copy for yourself at home. Your pre-order form should be accompanied by your payment. We are still in need of volunteers to help serve.
• Need a night out? A chance to get a way from the kids? The Parent Advisory Committee is sponsoring a Parent Social on Saturday, September 13 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Parents are encouraged to bring their favorite wine or beer as well as their favorite appetizer to share. This is a chance to meet some of the other parents at EGLS and enjoy a fun evening. We hope that you will join us!
• Our girl’s softball team lost their first game on Tuesday to St. Paul’s 4-2. Mollie Radewahn pitched a strong game but the girls came up just short. We do not yet have a boy’s soccer schedule but will get that out as soon as it is finalized. There is a game tentatively scheduled for Warcats-1 on Saturday, September 20, 9:00 a.m. at Milwaukee Lutheran this is the only Saturday game scheduled. We will also have some home games. Soccer players we need your Athletic Permission Forms submitted before you can play in a game.
• School Supplies Needed: USAF SSgt. Jeff Netzel (Mrs. Hoffmann’s nephew) is currently serving in Afghanistan. During his service there he found that many of the children attending school in Afghanistan did not have the basic school supplies that they need. He has asked for our help in meeting those needs. We are currently collecting: pencils, small pencil sharpeners, crayons, sheet paper or tablets of paper. We are also accepting donations to help cover the cost of postage. We would like to send the supplies as soon as possible so all donations are due in Mrs. Hoffmann’s room by Wednesday, September 24. Thank you for your support of this project.
• The Wildcats Running Club will continue on Monday, Sept. 15, from 3:45-5:00 p.m.  We also have our first “practice” meet against Immanuel Lutheran School at EGL.  A sign-up flyer went home on Friday for all K-8 students who are interested.  The meet is for all students, not just those who run in the club who love running and want to build endurance and compete.  Please note a change on the schedule!  The last practice will be on Monday, October 6, not the 8^th, as stated on the flyer.  If you have any questions contact Miss Anderson at tanderson@egl.org.
