Religion: Our two Bible stories for this week will be Josiah finds the law and Reforms of Josiah. Memory: Prov. 17:17 A friend loves at all times.
Reading: We have finished the first semester’s material for Super kids. We will then continue with Super kids Club. If you have any older children and they have the Super kid’s books, please put them away so your Kindergarten child has a fresh look at the material. We will be working on letter”B”. Any practice with lowercase b and d will be very helpful to your child. “b” is made first the bat and then the ball. “d” is made first with a dish and then the knife.
Math: This chapter has us working on time and money. Review nickels and dimes with your child. We will be talking about quarters and dollars this week. Our test for this unit will be on Friday.
Social Studies: We will be working on Abraham Lincoln and George Washington as well as weather.
Special Dress days for tournament: Mon. mis-match day, Tues. twin day, Wed. Dress up, Thurs. Blue and white, Fri. pajama day.
v Wednesday we will have Bear day in Kindergarten, so bring your favorite bear to school.
v Volunteers are still needed for the tournament; please sign up for something, Thursday –Sunday. We all have a very good time at the tournament!
v Send in your Six Flags reading slip for your ticket to Six Flags.
v Pep rally for Spirit Tournament is at 2:45 on Thursday.
v Tues. Feb. 14 is the Valentine party. It will be at 10:30. Please send in your Valentines any time this week.
The coupons for reading continue to go home. The children doing them are making great progress in reading. Keep up your good work! Any physical activity before school really helps put your child in gear to work. As well as any TV shuts down the brain and the child is laying on the floor wanting to sleep at 9:00am. Get out the play dough or colors and get a better start in the morning. I thank you and so will your child.
God bless you and your family,
L. Hoffmann
