Mrs. Margrett's Classroom News for September 20-October 6, 2011

Jesus Time- This week we are learning about Noah's Ark and next week we will be learning about Abraham and the birth of his son, Isaac.

Social Studies- We will begin a unit on fire safety next week.  On Tuesday, Sept. 27 we will visit the child care center next door and attend a fire safety program led by the Elm Grove Fire Department.

Science- We are completing a unit on the 5 senses.  This week we used our sense of hearing and the next two weeks we will focus on the senses of smell and taste.

Our nursery rhyme for the month of October will be "Little Miss Muffet".

Color Days- We will be celebrating God's rainbow colors during the next few weeks.  On each day, please try to wear the color of the day and bring a snack that is our special color if you are the snack person.  See the classroom newsletter for dates and colors.

Book orders are due on September 27.

Thank you to all who participated in EGL's fall fund raiser.  Please remember to pick up your fund raiser items on Thursday, September 22 after school in the Fellowship Hall.

Pumpkin Farm Trip- We will be traveling to Godsell Farm in Mukwonago on Wednesday, October 5.  Please return your permission slips as soon as possible.  Remember that PK3 will not meet on Thursday, October  6 due to our field trip on October 5.
